SG Iron Melting & Composition Control

Our advanced control systems lead to the precision and consistency of our SG Iron castings. The advanced Carbon Cup Technology vouches real-time monitoring and precise adjustment of chemical compositions, ensuring metallurgical excellence in every melt. This production setup is capable of:

  • Analysing compositions with high Carbon Equivalent (CE) values, ensuring metallurgical stability.
  • Setting target chemical levels for each job, and automatically alerting the operator when deviations occur.
  • Storing data such as Job No., Heat No., Melt No., and Iron type for traceability and future analysis.
  • Calculating Job-wise charge for efficient melt planning.
  • Enabling input of raw materials like Steel, Pig Iron, and Returns to calculate the optimal charge mix.
  • Displaying recommended alloy additions based on real-time results from Spectrometer and Carbon-Silicon Analyzer, ensuring precise chemistry every time.

  • Enables accurate and efficient material planning for each melt.
  • Composition data for Steel, Pig Iron, and Returns can be fed into the system to calculate the optimal charge mix.
  • Ensures traceability and records for every melt and job.
  • After the cup is poured, suggested alloy additions are displayed for precise chemical balancing.
  • Detects low melting point alloys like phosphide eutectic, helping predict and prevent shrinkage-related casting defects.
  • Offers valuable indicators of hardness and tensile strength in unalloyed cast iron.
